Maintain wheel alignment: It holds the right front wheel in the correct position (toe, camber) even over rough roads—preventing uneven tire wear and ensuring straight-line driving.
Absorb road shocks: The built-in bushings cushion impacts from potholes or curbs, reducing vibration transfer to the car’s interior (smoother ride).
Enable precise steering: The ball joint at the wheel end lets the control arm pivot with the steering system—so the right front wheel turns exactly when you move the steering wheel (no lag or looseness).
Fits These: All Zotye Z300 variants (matches front subframe, suspension geometry, and wheel hub specs—confirm with VIN).
Won’t Fit These:
Other Zotye models: Like Z500, T600, or SR7—different front suspension designs, arm lengths, or mounting points (can’t attach or align).
Non-Zotye vehicles: Even if similar in shape, their subframe and wheel hub specs differ (causes misalignment and unsafe handling).
Left front side of Z300: Left and right control arms are mirror images—this part is for the right side only (left side needs a different part number).
Z300 with modified suspension: Aftermarket lift kits or lowered suspension change geometry—original control arm can’t match (causes steering issues).
Prep: Jack up the Z300 (use jack stands) and remove the right front wheel. Disconnect the ball joint from the wheel hub (may need a separator tool).
Remove old arm: Loosen and remove the bolts that attach the control arm to the front subframe. Pull the old arm away from the subframe and hub.
Install new arm: Position 2904210-A01 onto the subframe, tighten the mounting bolts to Zotye’s recommended torque. Reconnect the ball joint to the wheel hub and secure it.
Test & align: Put the right front wheel back on, lower the car, and have a pro perform a front-end alignment (critical for proper wheel position—prevents tire wear and loose steering). Test drive to check for vibrations or steering issues.
Listen for noises: A clunking or rattling sound from the right front when going over bumps means bushings or ball joints are wearing out (replace the arm fast).
Check for play: Jack up the right front wheel, grab the tire top/bottom and wiggle—if there’s more than 1mm of play, the ball joint is loose (unsafe—replace immediately).
Inspect bushings: Look for cracked, torn, or flattened bushings (worn bushings cause vibrations and misalignment).
Rotate tires regularly: Even tire wear reduces stress on the control arm (follow Zotye’s tire rotation schedule—usually every 5,000 km).
