SX5-4121021
Illumine the road clearly: Low beam lights up the area 30–50 meters ahead (perfect for city driving), while high beam extends visibility to 100+ meters (great for rural highways). The reflective housing spreads light evenly, so you won’t miss curbs or small obstacles.
Mark your position for others: Even in rain or fog, the headlamp’s bright light makes your SX5 visible to oncoming cars and pedestrians. It also works with the daytime running light (DRL) function—stays on during the day to boost visibility.
Resist harsh weather: The sealed lens and housing keep rain, snow, and dust out. No water gets inside to fog up the lens or short out the bulbs—so it works reliably, even in storms.
Fits These: All Dongfeng FMC SX5 variants (matches bumper shape, electrical system, and beam specs—confirm with VIN).
Won’t Fit These:
Other Dongfeng models: Like H30, AX3, or Dignity ix5—different bumper sizes, bulb types, or wiring (headlamp can’t attach or work).
Non-Dongfeng vehicles: Even if similar in shape, their electrical systems and mounting points differ (no functional fit; may damage the SX5’s wiring).
SX5 with modified front ends: Aftermarket bumpers or grille kits change the headlamp opening size—original headlamp won’t fit (leaves gaps or blocks light).
Prep: Turn off the SX5’s engine and disconnect the battery (avoids electric shocks). Open the hood and locate the back of the left headlamp (behind the front bumper).
Remove old headlamp: Unplug the wiring plug from the back of the headlamp. Remove the 3–4 bolts holding the headlamp’s brackets to the bumper (use a socket wrench). Gently pull the old headlamp forward to remove it.
Install new headlamp: Slide SX5-4121021 into the bumper opening, align the brackets with the bolt holes, and tighten the bolts. Plug the wiring back in (it clicks when secure).
Test: Reconnect the battery, turn on low/high beams and DRL (if equipped)—check that light is bright, beam is aligned (no glare), and all functions work.
Clean the lens weekly: Wipe with a damp cloth and mild soap—remove dirt, bug guts, or road salt (dirty lenses dim light by 30%+).
Check bulbs every 6 months: Turn on low/high beams—look for dim, flickering, or dead bulbs. Replace bad bulbs fast (a non-working headlamp is illegal and unsafe).
Inspect for water inside: If the lens fogs up from the inside, the seal is broken—replace the headlamp (water ruins bulbs and housing).
Tighten bolts yearly: Make sure the mounting bolts are tight—loose bolts cause the headlamp to shift (beam points wrong or it rattles).
