Electronic Fuel Pump Assembly1106100-SA02 – Reliable Fuel Delivery for Optimal Engine Performance

Our Electronic Fuel Pump Assembly is engineered to provide consistent and precise fuel delivery, ensuring optimal engine performance and efficiency across a wide range of vehicle applications. Designed to meet or exceed OEM standards, this assembly integrates advanced technology and durable materials to guarantee long-lasting reliability, even under demanding driving conditions.

The electronic fuel pump assembly (part number: 1106100-SA02) for the Dongfeng Fengon Dignity IX5 (also called Fengon ix5) is basically the heart of the car’s fuel supply system.  Its job?  To pressurize fuel from the tank and send it to the engine’s fuel injectors—all to make sure the combustion process runs nice and smooth.

Key tech specs

Working voltage: 12V DC, powered by the car’s battery.

Output pressure: It needs to match what the engine’s fuel injection system requires—we’re looking at around 3.5-4.0 bar, but always check the original factory data to be sure.

Flow rate: It gives the 1.5T engine all the fuel it needs when it’s running at max power.  Looking at similar cars, the flow rate is usually about 60-80 liters per hour.

Motor type: It’s a permanent magnet DC motor—quiet, efficient, and it even has a built-in overheat protector to keep it from burning out.

When you start the car, the motor of the fuel pump gets power and begins to operate. It rotates the impeller to suck the fuel up from the bottom of the fuel tank. Once the fuel passes through the screen pipe, it will be pressurized and then sent out. There is also a pressure regulator, which keeps the pressure of the system stable. Is there any unnecessary fuel? It merely flows back to the water tank through the reflux pipe.

If the pump itself is clogged or the motor is broken (which will cause unstable output pressure), your car may have problems. For instance, it might be hard to start, feel sluggish when you step on the accelerator, or the engine might tremble. Some models even have a fuel pump monitor - it uses the ECU (Engine Control Unit, which is basically the "brain" of the car) to check in real time. If something breaks down, it will trigger a fault code to let you know there is a problem.

Installation and maintenance tips

You need to replace the fuel pump every 80,000 to 100,000 kilometers, or every five years. When you replace it, you must drain all the fuel from the tank and remove the flange plate at the top of the tank. Note: This job involves a high-pressure fuel system, so it's best to have a professional mechanic handle it.

Preventive maintenance

Don't let your fuel level stay below a quarter for too long. If so, the motor may be damaged because it cannot cool down properly.

Replace the fuel filter regularly. In this way, viscous substances will not enter the water pump and cause blockage.

Insist on using fuel that meets the specifications - ideally unleaded gasoline with an octane rating of 92 or higher. Poor-quality fuel can corrode the components of the pump, so do not use it.

You might drive a Toyota Corolla, but guess what?  A quality aftermarket air filter that fits your Corolla could also work for a Honda Civic, a Mazda 3, even some VW Golfs.  Why?  Because brands design these parts to match common engine sizes and airflow specs—so if your car has a 1.5L or 2.0L engine (super common!), there’s a good chance the filter will click right in.  Same with wiper blades!  Those long, thin ones for your windshield?  Most brands make “universal fit” sets that adjust to different windshield lengths—so whether you have a small Hyundai Accent or a bigger Ford Escape, you can grab the same pack and tweak them to fit.
