Scan for nearby obstacles: It continuously detects objects behind (or in front of) the H30, even ones too small or low to see in the rearview mirror (like curbs, small boxes, or children).
Trigger timely warnings: When the H30 gets too close to an obstacle (usually within 1 meter), the sensor tells the car’s system to sound a beep (getting faster as distance shrinks) or show a visual alert—giving you time to stop.
Fits These: All Dongfeng H30 variants (matches bumper design, on-board system, and detection needs—confirm with VIN).
Won’t Fit These:
Other Dongfeng models: Like S30, AX3, or Dignity ix5—different bumper sizes, on-board systems, or sensor mounting positions (can’t detect properly or connect).
Non-Dongfeng vehicles: Even if similar in shape, their on-board computers can’t interpret the sensor’s signals (no warnings work).
H30 with modified bumpers: Aftermarket bumpers may lack the pre-drilled holes or change the sensor’s angle (ruins detection range).
Prep: Turn off the H30’s engine and disconnect the battery (avoids electrical risks). Locate the old sensor on the bumper (usually behind a small plastic cover).
Remove old sensor: Gently pry off the bumper cover (if any) and unplug the wiring connector from the sensor. Press the mounting tabs to release the old sensor from the bumper.
Install new sensor: Slide 77620009Z into the bumper’s mounting hole until it clicks. Plug the wiring connector back in (it fits only one way). Reattach the bumper cover (if removed).
Test: Reconnect the battery, start the engine, and put the H30 in reverse. Move slowly toward a wall—check if the warning beep sounds (it should get faster as you get closer). If no beep, double-check the connector.
Clean the sensor monthly: Wipe the sensor’s surface with a damp cloth—dirt, mud, or bug guts can block radar waves (reduces detection accuracy).
Check the connector every 6 months: Inspect the wiring plug for corrosion or loose wires—bad connections cause no warnings (clean corrosion with a dry brush).
Avoid hitting the bumper: A hard bump to the bumper can shift the sensor (changes detection angle—get it realigned if you hit something).
Watch for false alerts: If the sensor beeps when there’s no obstacle, it may be dirty or misaligned (clean first, then check mounting).
