SX5G-1001130
Cut down engine vibrations: When the SX5’s engine runs, it creates constant vibrations. The cushion’s rubber core deforms gently to absorb these shakes, stopping them from spreading to the chassis and car body—this means less noise inside the cabin and a smoother ride.
Support the engine’s weight: The engine is one of the heaviest parts of the car (usually 100–150kg for the SX5). The cushion bears this weight steadily, keeping the engine in its correct position (no sagging or shifting while driving over bumps).
Protect engine parts & hoses: By cushioning the engine, it prevents hard jolts from damaging delicate parts like fuel lines, coolant hoses, or electrical connectors. It also compensates for tiny movements between the engine and frame (from heating/cooling or driving) so parts don’t get pulled or twisted.
Fits These: All Dongfeng FMC SX5 variants (matches the engine model, frame mounting points, and weight requirements—confirm with your VIN).
Won’t Fit These:
Other Dongfeng models: Like Dongfeng H30 or AX7—different engine weights and frame designs (cushion can’t support or align parts).
Non-Dongfeng vehicles: Even if it looks similar, the engine/frame bolt patterns and vibration needs are way off (can’t install or work).
SX5 with modified engines: Aftermarket engines have different weights or mounting points—original cushion can’t adapt.
Prep: Techs lift the SX5 safely, use a jack to support the engine (so it doesn’t drop), then remove the bolts holding the old cushion to the engine and frame.
Remove old cushion: They take out the worn cushion, clean the mounting surfaces (remove oil or rust), and check if the engine/frame has damage.
Install new cushion: They line up SX5G-1001130 with the mounting holes, bolt it to Dongfeng’s exact torque specs (too tight crushes the rubber; too loose it shifts), then lower the engine gently onto the new cushion.
Test: They start the engine to check for less vibration, then test drive to ensure no abnormal noises or engine movement.
Look for rubber damage: Every 30,000km, check if the rubber is cracked, hardened, or leaking (old rubber loses shock absorption). Replace it fast if you see this.
Tighten bolts: Have techs check the cushion’s bolts during oil changes—loose bolts cause the engine to rattle or shift.
Keep oil away: Engine oil or gear oil eats away at rubber—wipe up any leaks near the cushion immediately.
Watch for warning signs: If you feel more vibration in the steering wheel or hear loud engine noise inside, the cushion is probably worn out.
